  • Descriptive Notes

Book is viii + 149 (pagination ends after p. 64); b/w illus. with color frontispiece. Rockwell Kent and Carl Zigrosser, Rockwellkentiana: Few Words and Many Pictures by R. K., and, by Carl Zigrosser, a Bibliography and List of Prints (New York: Harcourt, Brace and Company, 1933), is a set of short writings by Kent, followed by Kent and Zigrosser's "Check-List of the Wood-Engravings and Lithographs of Rockwell Kent" (41-56), then by Zigrosser's "Bibliography of the Writings and Illustrations of Rockwell Kent" (57-64), and finally by reproductions of many of the lithographs and wood engravings as well as some drawings and paintings.

Two lithographs from the Beowulf series of 8, originally printed 1931, are reproduced, in their original orientation, not reversed as they appeared in the William Ellery Leonard book of 1932: first, "Beowulf" (catalogued in the book, p. 51, as no. 60), printed within the "Bibliography," on p. 58; and "Funeral Pyre," printed in the section of reproductions, on p. [99].
