"Middleward," at the center of the saddle-stapled booklet, is preceded by "Hellspawn," then "The Defiers," and immediately follows Gustovich and Gorman's "Beowulf"; it is followed by "Zadzillca" and "Olan." "Middleward" is a two-page spread printed in sideways orientation (thus poster-style) that gives a short informational blurb about the issue, below which is the object of this entry, a large bust image of Beowulf superimposed on sea-cliffs.
