The selection is discontinuous, reproducing pp. [30]-[31], [33]-[36], [39], [43]-[44], and [46]-[49] of this source (corresponding to pp. 20-21, 23-26, 29, 33-34, and 36-39 of the work's earlier, partially paginated form, The Collected Beowulf [2000]). The selection appears to have been made with a goal of avoiding textual content, so that no part of Hinds' paraphrase of A. J. Church's retelling is carried over from the 2007 graphic novel.
